Prof Dunrong BIE

Xiamen University

Prof Dunrong Bie is the Dean and Professor of the Institute of Education, Xiamen University, China, and Dean of Fujian Province Institute of Higher Education Research. He acts as member of the Academic Committee, Research Institute for College Graduates' Employment, MOE., member of the Academic Development Consultative Committee of the Chinese Association of Higher Education, Vice Director of the Board of Chinese Society on Institutional Research, and Vice Director of Chinese Society on Graduate Education. He has published about 400 papers and over 30 books in the fields of higher education development and management, university policy and strategic planning.

Prof Camilla P. BENBOW

Vanderbilt University 

Prof Camilla P. Benbow is Patricia and Rodes Hart Dean of Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt Peabody College of education and human development. A scholar of talent identification and development in STEM, Prof Benbow co-directs the Study of Mathematically Precocious Youth (SMPY), a longitudinal study of 5,000 gifted individuals now in its 55th year. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the American Educational Research Association and has been honored with numerous awards including, most recently, the Dunnette Prize of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (2026).

Prof Liying CHENG

City University of Macau

Prof Liying Cheng is Professor and Dean, School of Education, the City University of Macau. Prior to joining the City University of Macau, she has been Professor and Director of Assessment and Evaluation Group at the Faculty of Education, Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada. Her seminal research on washback illustrates the global impact of large-scale testing on instruction, and the relationships between assessment and instruction. Prof Cheng focuses her research on using assessment to support student learning and teacher teaching involving linguistically and culturally diverse peoples around the world.

Prof Alan C. K. CHEUNG

The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Prof Alan Cheung currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Education and Director of the Centre for University and School Partnership at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and holds a Courtesy Professorship at Johns Hopkins University.  Prof Cheung has published more than 150 refereed journal articles, four edited books, and numerous book chapters. His work—appearing in top journals such as Review of Educational Research, Educational Research Review, and Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness—focuses on educational technology, literacy, social-emotional learning, and evidence-based reform.

Prof Lianghuo FAN

University of Macau

Prof Lianghuo Fan is Chair Professor, Dean and the Director of the Centre for STEM and AI Education of the Faculty of Education, University of Macau. He holds an emeritus professorship at the Southampton Education School, University of Southampton, UK. His research spans mathematics curriculum studies and textbook research, teacher professional development, mathematics teaching, learning and assessment, international and comparative education, AI in mathematics education, and algorithms for polynomial division in pure mathematics. He is the author or lead editor of some acclaimed books, including A Study on the Development of Teachers’ Pedagogical Knowledge, widely regarded as one of the most influential academic works in contemporary pedagogy.

Prof Baocun LIU

Beijing Normal University 

Prof Baocun Liu is a Professor of Comparative Education and the Director of the Institute of International and Comparative Education at Beijing Normal University, China. He serves as President of China Comparative Education Society. With his specialisation and research interests in comparative education, higher education, education policy and management, he has been involved in a wide range of national and international research and consultancy projects, and published more than 400 journal papers and 30 books. He has received many honours and awards for his research, teaching and service in the field of education, including the Ministry of Education Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholars Programme.
